CIOB Australasia is committed to the continual improvement of educational standards at a national and international level.

One of the core aims of the CIOB is to achieve professionalism at all levels within the construction industry. In establishing the criteria for membership of the CIOB, the Institute has developed a framework of educational requirements designed to reflect industry needs and provision.

The CIOB has an accreditation process which establishes the mechanism for Universities and Colleges seeking CIOB recognition of their qualifications. In Australia, the CIOB recognises those courses which are accredited by the Australian Institute of Building.

CIOB Australasia continues to recognise the high standards of excellence in construction education in our region by promoting our CIOB Australasia Research Grants and Excellent Student Awards.

Nominations for the CIOB Australasia Student Awards 2011 are now being sought and nominations will close on Monday 28th February 2011.
